Okay gang, I'm back from holidays and in a back it up game or two and the next rack it up game! Also trying out Une Haus on PC for the upload process and it's been flawless!

Hey Colby, this is really minor, but I noticed that on the games, the hearts symbol comes before the messages symbol, whereas on the posts, it's the other way around. I think it makes more sense for the hearts to come first, but that's also just what I was used to on skrrrt.io, so the difference throws me off a bit when I go to posts. It's not really a big deal but do you think it would be possible to make them the same order across the site?

How does Rack it up work to submit sets? i sent in a submission to match Ivar's set and am wondering if i'm too late to submit a set or if i'm just not seeing the upload set UI

it would be cool if tricks could be tagged in posts and uploads so that you could search a trick and see a bunch of videos of people doing it it different contexts

you can do that in the tricks page! if you click on a trick -> edit you can upload videos of that trick. the goal being many riders doing the trick from different POVs filmed as high quality as possible

Lots of content has already been uploaded in the form of videos

it would be neat to be able to tag videos people have posted with trick names, and have the trick pages link to the posts with those tags

I had the same thought! The reason I opted not to go that route is sometimes a set includes multiple tricks. I guess in that case it wouldn't need to be tagged, but it would also be a ton of work to retroactively tag all sets 😅

i think a lot of people go first for "kick hick"? which is maybe the one more generally known as kickflip

something to try if you feel like it! To me the seat out but without spin came first

i also like daffodils idea! It wouldnt have to be mandatory tags right? But an opportunity to link together the glossary with posts (and possibly games?)

made a small change to the user profile pages so you can see all the videos you've ever uploaded in one continuous go! hit the "view all" to go to the dedicated page, open a video, and once that video ends the next will autostart

An idea for here that my friend came up with: trick checklist

The idea is this would go on your profile (can either be public or private, doesn't matter to me much) and be a list of all tricks you've done in your life

This could also really promote contributions to the tricktionary, because if someone wants to add a trick that's not listed yet, they can add it to their profile and the tricktionary at the same time.

I'm wondering if this sounds like a good idea to others. If so I would even try to build it myself and submit a PR if that would be helpful.

it's really funny you mention that Nick - i had a bunch of claude credits expiring the other night so i ran it over the app and asked what's missing feature-wise and that was one of the suggestions haha

Ha, nice. I've realized the idea is very similar to how my other hobby works (birding). Whenever I see a new bird it gets added to my life list. New birds are called "lifers". No surprise that I want a similar thing for unicycling lol

Well if you want to outsource the work for it let me know I'd love to have a crack at it.

I'm wondering if people would prefer to have the RIU games start once a certain number of riders have uploaded sets - the current model doesn't seem to work well since it's not getting very many riders every week. Whereas if a game started with a big list of riders I think it'd have more engagement. Thoughts?

Colby, on one hand I like that idea for RIU games. It could definitely result in each game having a lot more riders. However, seeing how there have been several back-it-ups and stack-it-ups with no uploads for months, and several RIU games weeks in a row with zero uploads, I think it might result in a lot less RIU games. So I think it might be better to keep it how it is

However, if you want to try out the new system for RIU for a month or so (just to see how it goes) i don't think that would hurt

For me, Colby One of the things I would suggests is simply visibility. Maybe this makes me sound old, but I come to the website and then I scroll through The different threads and then I click on games which takes me to another thread. Half the time I simply forget the game is here.\

Maybe when You come to unehaus right underneath The logo could be like a direct linked to the three types of games. Especially if that's the Site focus.

Maybe it looks different on the app? because that's how it is on the website. There's the logo, undernearth that the search bar, and right underneath that is "games"

its also nice that games are of variating size and that theres always a structure and a constant invitation to join for the next one :) the two new game formats seem to offer the flexibility (though i havent tried it much yet)

ive been thinking it would be fun with a way to ping each other in the app joining games, more than just the regular follow. If i invite trey while joining a game for example he can expect i have a trick especially cooked for him or just want to race in this particular lineup
