'Out Small Spin' should just be called '(Out) Varial Spin'. 'Out' is specified in the latter to distinguish with 'In Varial Spin' which would be started from a 'seat out, seat backwards' position and landed 'seat in', performed completely one handed, like an In Spin (with extra bodyvarial of course).

And "out varial spin" is a pleonasm. Varials are always out tricks. The "in" prefix is optional since it's not really considered a different trick if you are landing seat in, or seat out. What really matters is if you are starting seat in, or seat out. The distinction is important; when starting the spin from "seat in" the trick is done one handed (with the possible addition of a hand pass), when starting "seat out" the trick is generally done with 2 hands. Varial, Full Varial, and other variants are always "out" tricks, meaning they are started from seat in. Maybe this list can help you out From Seat In | From Seat Out Varial flip | Small Flip Full Varial Flip | Big Flip Inward Varial Flip | Inward Small Flip Outflip | Hickflip Full Out Flip | Trey Flip Out (sex) change | Sex Change And just to top it off, an inflip and a hickflip are the same trick. An in fifthflip and a fifthflip are the same trick. The in is optional and only add some specification that the trick was done to seat in, but doesn't change the trick itself while and outfifth is considered a different trick than a fifthflip for example.
