somebody help me
flatland
Alexis Mercat
Damn that's so frustrating to watch haha The movement is perfect, handpass is beautiful, only thing missing is commitment. Few things to try: - Land the trick starting feet on the ground or on a slightly elevated spot (1 or 2 stairs) - Alternate landing one foot front and back - Put some dope ass music for motivation - Make a pact with your own mind and body: goal is not to land but just touch both pedals with your feet (sometimes works for me) - Freaking commit. Bending your mind on doing something it's afraid of isn't easy, but the first time you commit is always the hardest one. I know for a fact that if i force myself to commit 3 times in a row to a trick, chances are huge that i will land it shortly Go for it man, you're seconds away from landing a really cool trick and getting it consistent !

IMO your attempted handpass is what's causing the problem. For 540s I like to imagine my catching hand hovering right around my crotch so that once the une has spun 450 I'm ready to catch and protect the seat. Also aim to catch it right behind the handle, not directly on the handle like you're trying here. The whole motion will eventually feel really fluid once you've nailed down the mechanics. Like Alexis said you're super close!

Really nice handpass Moses! If i have trouble comitting, i sometimes like to just close my eyes and pretend that i already landed the trick and envision myself doing it.

I agree with most things said above. Your handpass is definitely too much on the end of the handle. Hard to have control from there. Otherwise it's just loads of practice. I remember practicing my hand pass for at least a year before I landed 540's. Get it absolutely dialed. Then it's just: Jump higher, spin faster, commit.

Trampoline spin is so brutal! Id be so scared for the forces involved there. You totally have it mos. Just keep going for variation would be my general advice, if you feel stuck with never quite being able to land it, remember to see a new way of failing it as a progress too and look for what feels different to you in different kinds of attempts. As i expressed in the podcast with phil i believe strongly in trying oposite side for figuring out details
Also in my journey with spins i have just started to realize how useful it is to split them up in different smaller ones. 360-180 180-360 270-270 450-90 90-450 perhaps even 90-360-90 Great buildups for the 5

Wow! Great attempts, Mos!
Some tips for you: I hold it tight with the first hand, even when it reached 360 degrees. Then push the handle with another hand and catch it, then it goes fast and naturally for the last 180.

And I suggest you wear a helmet. I fell on my head last time when my feet stuck on 450…

I'll try it again soon. Thanks alot for all the tips, guys!

Re the hand pass: go and watch Clements submissions for the 540 this week. Chuck it on slow motion .1/.25 👌
