ive been trying for that, it's hard to stay on and get the grind going after riding up, I need to be really fresh in a session to get the speed I need i think

daff, (can i call you that?) honestly i think you need wax haha. i'm not sure how often you wax stuff when you ride, but most of the time weird hubbas that people don't skate very often (like this one) need extra wax.

wax would help, but it also looks like you're dropping onto the hubba pretty hard. Rather than dropping straight onto it imagine almost jumping out to meet the hubba with a less agressive impact. If you can learn to push your foot through at the beginning to initiate the slide I find you can hit most hubbas waxed or not. Let me know if that doesn't make sense!

Yeah Moses you can totally call me daff :) I don't think the ledge needs to be waxed necessarily, I grind it pretty often from the boob and it's definitely slick enough I think. I don't tend to wax stuff at all, especially at this park, since so many people ride it so often that they end up waxing it again well before it really even needs it and yeah Colby that totally makes sense, pushing the foot through is a new way to think about it that already feels like it will help, thanks for that. Part of it too I think is probably a bit of lack of commitment, not wanting to jump too far forward into it too fast in case I slip out, resulting in me coming straight down in hesitation rather than a comfortable follow through into the slide
