TLDR: Four months ago I ruptured my achilles tendon, getting slowly back into riding, any experience/tips about recovery (physical and mental) from injury? Long story: I ruptured (partially) my achilles tendon trying to land backside 1-spin (doesn't look that bad in a clip, not sure if that "pop" sound is from my achilles or shoe slipping on pedal, probably both). I think I injured that few days earlier (even one of the doctor comfirned that it's more likely), since I was unable to walk after some running/workouting that day - not used to run at all, wrong shoes, too much at once... And when I was getting better after few days I went to a quick uni training and my tendon just gived up. Had to take surgery and spent rest of the previous year at crutches. It's not just about physical disability, but it had a huge impact on my mental state, realizing I am not immortal anymore and that I am getting older and that being healthy is not matter of course. Long story short, I am able to walk once again (for about a month already), my leg is getting stronger and I slowly starting to ride again. I will try to post clips for a game from time to time. For now it will be only rolls, balance and legwraps (using my healthy leg), since that's all I can do right now. I am definitelly aiming to get back to be able to do sport I love the most so any tips/experience with injuries will be welcomed.
