Thoughts on bmx hub guards? I noticed Mimo uses them and this pic is Ed Hawkes' une. Basically when your hub flanges are wider than your tire, the spokes and flanges can get damaged doing grinds.
I've never worried about it cause I always just did pedal grinds, but now I want to learn more flip to grinds and back foot grinds and I've already put some dents in my spokes. Unfortunately I don't think I have enough clearance to fit in one of these bmx guards and I think the flange diameter might be too large anyway. Not sure which unicycle hubs can take them. Old impact hubs and exceed titanium for sure. I might DIY something...
