After three months of work, I am happy to present to you the new “Unicycle Street” page on the French Wikipedia. So sorry for people who don't speak French. :( This is a project that was particularly close to my heart because I learned a lot on the old version of this page when I was just a baby unicyclist. First of all, several things need to be clear: Firstly, I made some "editorial" choices that are questionable from Wikipedia's point of view, I overdid it for what is a TINY sport... The “noble” sources (books, articles from specialized magazines, documentaries…) are extremely rare concerning Unicycle Street and a lot of information has disappeared. I therefore had to, failing that, fall back on sources of lesser quality (Blogs, videos, forums, testimonials, etc.). Maybe my work would not hesitate to be posted on a platform other than Wikipedia? The question is valid… There are also undoubtedly several biases on my part, I have my own vision of sport which does not necessarily have that of everyone. For instance ; I may have talked too much about the French unicycle, but given that this is the French page I'm not sure that's the problem. I tried to be as close as possible to reality concerning the “historical” work. However, I have undoubtedly forgotten names, teams and important events… Feel free to add them. The little dyslexic that I am would also like to point out that there are undoubtedly a number of spelling mistakes, I apologize, I did my best. If someone feels motivated to correct, let him not deprive himself. Similarly, certain turns of phrase may need to be improved. If among you there are bilingual people who are interested in the project and who are eager to undertake a translation (English, German, Spanish…), that would be really fantastic! It was an extremely enriching experience for me, during a whole period of my life I really spent a lot of time on Wikipedia and I am happy to have been able to contribute to it in my own way. That said, it wasn't as simple as I imagined, to be honest, it was even a headache at times. Between the information not found and the editorial questions, it was hell... But I would like to thank all the people who helped me, by answering my questions or by sending me photos. <3 Maybe all this work is for nothing, that everyone doesn't care about Unicycle Street and that Unicycle Street doesn't care about Wikipedia... But I don't care that we don't care... RAMEN. <3
