Questions about your experiences with saddles, saddle plates, carbon bases, etc

Hey folks, I said some of this in the chat but I wanted to collect it into a post for more permanent / static collection of feedback. I'm wondering if people have experienced something i'm experiencing. I got a full mad4one 20" urban setup about a month ago. I noticed in my session today that the saddle feels like it's flexing an unusual amount in the front half. On this note, I feel like I remember seeing stabilization plates and stuff like that for sale via Railigion and maybe some other sites over the years I suspect that those plates probably help reduce the flex, and im starting to realize the reason to use something like this. Do any of you use these plates? I also realize this is probably why people prefer carbon base saddles for more hardcore riding, in terms of reducing flex, increasing overall strength and longevity, etc. I'm curious about y'all's experiences switching to carbon bases from more conventional plastic saddles if you have anything to say about that. I'm trying to settle on a setup that will last me years, and i'm discovering aspects of certain parts that I love (mad4one seatpost and frame) and aspects i don't love (saddle feeling sort of shakey after only a month of riding, what makes a set of pedals undesireable etc.) What do you think?
