I'm still working on scuff coast. Any pro tips?

Should I keep my knee against the seat or not? Or does it matter?

I say keep that knee in (calf into the seats concave) gonna make you stronger holding onto the wheel. Its totally doable without too, and the trick doesnt really require strength in the end but at first it can be good to have a little extra force to save yourself

Very nice combo. I will say, just practice. I think coasts take a lot of time to get consistent. Try to go for longer coasts, learn how to drop to pedals, count the revs, go quick, go slow, start from tire, start jumping from pedals,... Just play with it.

Agree with ivar. The knee gives you an extra point of stabilisation. No need to be ashamed of yourself everybody does it like that ;)

Thanks everyone! I managed to relearn scuff coast with my leg against the seat, and I definitely feel that it gives me more control and makes the trick easier. Now I just need to learn Jan's scuff coast with leg-around 😁
