Commitment Issues
Here's a recap of tonight's session, following my viewing of Sam's vlog.

Was inspired by Sam's varial fakieflips and backside tricks. Took a while to commit to the latest, but eventually got there.
It's obviously not much, but to land that out backside was a major milestone for me. Not for the particular trick in itself, but IIRC, it's been 11 years since I landed a new trick. Everything else since 2013 had been variations or lines using the same tricks. (Coincidently, I believe my previous latest trick was revflip, which I just relanded tonight 🤷)
Some riders chase personal new tricks or NBDs, which is truely great to see for all of us. I decided some time ago I'd stop that, probably because I was in a comfortable spot with my riding. I told myself I was happy with my modest bag of tricks and didn't want to risk anything learning new stuff. Then I got stuck in that mindset and commiting to new tricks started to feel daunting. Thinking back on it, I realize that the fact I stopped pushing may have been one of the reasons why I lost interest in unicycling at the time.
My conclusion of today's therapy session would probably be that, at least in my case, there should be a balance between novelty and betterment, to maintain the appeal. All in all, to just do what makes us happy. We're all just clowns riding around on one-wheeled bikes anyway. There's no point to it. Might at least enjoy it.
tl;dr I had a great time riding tonight. Thanks to everyone on here! 😊
